Experience living in AIU
Asslamu álaikum!
My name is Sman Tairos, from Cambodia. This is a good chance for me to share experience of living in AIU. Fist day I arrived in AiU on 17th February 2012, I am very excited, because I reached my goal that I hoped to study here since I applied to AiU and I met many friends from different countries. However, I faced many problems here such as the differences of food, weather, language and culture and I felt nervous to myself because I am not good at English language to communicate with them. From that time I know that English is vitally important that I need to use in my live here especially the local language(Malay) and English. Although I faced many good things and I am happy with like the Orientation day, service program and other several programs.
Lets talk about learning the Intensive English program (IEP), I started studying this program after I get here three days(21th Feb). That is the time for me to improve my English step by step. I studied with many friends from different countries, different cultures which was difficult for me to communicate with them. Before I began to learn English IEP, I felt that my mind was blank and scare to speak with others who I thought that they were better than me. From day to day I try my best to motivate myself as I can do. I made lots of mistake but I learn from these mistakes. I am far away from home to get knowledge, to get degree, so what I have to do is study. Finally I passed all the examination each level.Thank to Allah who bless me for all and I hope I will get a successful life after I finish here.
